Michelle Trachtenberg Died Yesterday

Harriett the Spy with Michelle Trachtenberg came out in 1996 when I was 7 years old. As a kid that also had distant parents and not a lot of friends, I really related to Harriett. I was obsessed with this movie. I can quote the entire thing to this day. This movie inspired me to start journaling. I would "spy" on my neighbors doing boring stuff like mowing the lawn from my tree house and write it down. I told everyone I wanted to be an author. And this passion for writing never faded. I will say that the trying to love tomato sandwiches thing did though.

I've watched Michelle Trachtenberg in many roles and enjoyed all of them but this one was most impactful for me. I would go as far as to say I didn't only look up to her but she was one of my first celebrity crushes and if you know me you know those go deep.

So, I'm extremely devastated to hear about her passing and even more devastated that she was suffering so much prior. I don't know if I believe in heaven or whatever but I believe in spirit and I really hope her spirit finds real peace. I'll always remember Michelle and the impact her acting had on me growing up.
